Tiger conservation seminar held in Bagerhat

A seminar was held at the Bagerhat Press Club hall under the Sundarbans Tiger Conservation Project.The seminar, organized on Sunday morning, was presided over by Md. Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Divisional Forest Officer of Sundarbans East Forest Division, Bagerhat.Khulna Region Conservator of Forests Imran Ahmed was present as the chief guest at the event. Professor of Zoology Department and tiger expert Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Aziz presented the keynote address.Bagerhat Press Club General Secretary Md. Hedayet Hossain Liton, Vice President SM Raj, along with local media workers, officers and employees of various levels of the Forest Department and representatives of NGOs associated with the tiger conservation project were present at the event. The speakers highlighted the importance of tiger conservation in the Sundarbans and said that increasing public awareness, conservation of forest resources and people's participation are very important in protecting tigers. The seminar called on everyone, including media workers, to come forward to spread the importance of tiger conservation to all levels of society.The seminar discussed various aspects of tiger conservation and strengthening awareness activities.
