Three youths killed in truck-motorcycle collision in Alikadam

Three youths were killed in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a truck used for transporting goods on Alikadam-Thanchi road in Tarabunia area of Ward No. 6 of Chaikxyong Union of Alikadam Upazila of Bandarban.
On Saturday noon.
Md. Belal (30), MdChayed Amin (18), Md. Minhaj (18) 3 youths reached Chaikhyang Tarabunia area of Alikadam upazila when a truck (Chittagong L 72) coming from the opposite direction (from Alikadam to Chakaria) hit the motorcycle head on. When the motorcycle overturned, all the three riders were thrown away. and was killed on the spot. All the 3 youths killed are residents of Bazarpara of Alikadam Sadar Union.
On receiving the news of the accident, the local residents, police, fire service and civil defense members recovered the bodies of the 3 dead from the spot and the locals impounded the truck.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Alikadam Fire Service and Civil Defense Station Officer Md. Habibur Rahman said that the bodies of 3 people were recovered from the scene and handed over to the police. An accident motorcycle was recovered from the spot and the truck impounded.
Alikadam Police Station SI Md Shakeel said that the bodies of 3 people were recovered and taken to Alikadam Upazila Health Complex and a truck was seized from the spot and the police is working to arrest the driver of the truck. The families requested not to do the postmortem of the deceased.
Alikadam upazila administration has given 20 thousand taka to each family for the burial of the deceased families
