Those who win in Bhuapur Upazila Parishad elections

The second phase of the 6th Upazila Parishad election was completed in Bhuapur Upazila in Tangail.
Voting was held on Tuesday from 8 am to 4 pm. Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Executive Officer Mamunur Rashid announced the election results at night after counting the votes.
Nargis Begum (Dowat Kolom) has been elected as upazila chairman in the election. He got 30 thousand 364 votes. His nearest rival Md Feroz Chowdhury (Helicopter) got 5 thousand 839 votes.
Md. Monirul Islam Babu (Tala) has been elected as Vice Chairman. He got 28 thousand 625 votes. His nearest rival Md. Arifur Islam Arju (Tubewell) got 9 thousand 241 votes.
Sadia Afrin Khanam (Football) has been elected as the female vice-chairman. He got 16 thousand 953 votes. His nearest rival Alifnoor Mini (Prajapati) got 14 thousand 51 votes.
In their victory, leaders and supporters of various organizations of Upazila Awami League distributed victory festival and sweets.
It is noted that the total number of voters in this upazila is 1 lakh 69 thousand 598 people. Among them, the number of male voters is 86 thousand 338 and the number of female voters is 83 thousand 260. Total centers are 67.
It is said that 67 presiding officers, 487 assistant presiding officers and 974 polling officers have performed their duties. 5 candidates contested for the post of chairman, 4 candidates for the post of vice-chairman and 4 candidates for the post of female vice-chairman.
