HSTU Correspondent of the national English daily The Country Today Alangkar Gupta has acieved the 'Academic Excellence' Award from the Executive Committee of HSTU Journalists Association.

HSTU Journalist Association is the only association of media workers working in Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU).

On Sunday (March 26) in the general meeting held at the HSTU Journalist Association's office, this award was handed over to Alankar Gupta by Abdullah Al Mubasshir, President of the organization, and General Secretary Md. Masud Rana. She is a general member of the Association and a student of the Mathematics Department of HSTU.

Vice President Abu Saheb and Joint General Secretary Habibur Rahman and other members were also present.

Ahnaf Shahriar Sohag, Accounting Department and Kabir Abdullah, Mathematics Department also received medals in the same category.

Thanking the journalist association, Alangkar Gupta said, "Journalism is like a mystery to me. The more it is learned, the more mysterious it becomes. Coming to campus journalism from the interest of writing about campus beauty, problems, arrangements, crisis. Such activities of Journalist Association to inspire young journalists are highly appreciated. I thank the leaders of HSTU Journalists Association."

President of the Journalist Association Abdullah Al Mubasshir said, "I hope that the Academic Excellence Award will inspire journalists to increase their interest in their work and focus equally on journalism as well as academic studies."

The Country Today management has congratulated Alangkar Gupto for her such achievement.
