River breakdown is a natural disaster. Usually, the river water is severely speeding while falling into the sea. The river breaks the river and breaks the river. This is the river erosion of the river breaking the river. One of the reasons for this is flood. The river erosion is the name of a panic to the coastal residents. When you hear the word, the eyes of some of the helpless people are lost in the eye. Every year, miles of miles after miles of coastal areas, the river goes into the womb. According to a survey, about 6,000 hectares of land goes into the river every year. As a result, thousands of families are lost in the land and land. Various institutions including roads, ghats, hats, bazaars, schools, colleges, mosques, madrasas.
> Natural causes of river erosion
* Bangladesh is a sub-island: Bangladesh is a sub-island because the land here is built with poly soil. The structure of the soil is very weak. The water flow of this weakened soil cannot always be sown. This creates a slightly stronger stream when the river breaks.
* Flood: Flood is one of the causes of river erosion. Generally during the monsoon, the incidence of floods increases in our country. Due to the floods during the flood, the flow of water is very high as the water stream gains considerable energy to break the ground level. During this time, the water of the river is high and the water hit the banks of the bank and causes river erosion. This increases the severity of river erosion during the flood.
* Excessive rainfall: As a result of the rainfall, the flow of water increases in the river as well as the water of the river is boiling. This creates strong waves in the river during the heavy rainfall. The river then puts extra pressure on its banks. This breaks the soil of the vulnerable part of the river and gradually increases the process of breakdown.
* Poly deposits on the bottom of the river: Due to the various deviations of nature, the river is frozen on the bottom of the river. This reduces the water holding capacity of the river. As a result, the height of the river increases the height of the river and the pressure on the banks and the river breaks the river. Thus the river erosion is transmitted.
* Strong Surotwini River: Some rivers are severe streams due to the amount of water flow or the hill slopes. These rivers can cause the river erosion due to the intensity of the water flow. If the structure of the river bank is not strong in these places, the river erosion is transmitted.
* River width: The width of the river is related to the river erosion. If the rivers are high, the chances of river erosion increase.
* New chars are made in the river:- Poly chars are made in the river. Many times the new chara is formed in the middle of the river. This creates a breakdown on the one side of the river and the river changes and moves to the other side.
›Man -made causes of river erosion
* Forests: The roots of the tree go deep into the ground and strengthen the formation of the soil. This strengthens the base of the soil along the river. Day by day, people are weakened by the river bank because of their own needs. It did not cope with the severe stream of the river and the soil was broken down and the river erosion was created.
* Building houses and establishments on the banks of the river: The construction of houses and buildings on the banks of the river is reduced and the soil capacity decreases and the constant breaks down. So the river is a cause of establishment and river erosion.
* Sand lifting from the river: We often see the sand lifting from the river. The lifting of this sand is lost in the river's balance and the river erosion begins. Therefore, sand is responsible for lifting sand from the river and erosion of the river.
* Damage to the river: Many times we try to control the flow of the river by obstructing the river. Create a power plant, irrigation project. This is a bit of some temporarily benefited, but it creates long -term problems. The barrier caused by the river disrupts the normal course of the river and causes the river erosion.
* Creating the city of Protection Dam: Throughout the era, the banks of the river have been built on the banks of the river, many times the people of the river are protected by protecting the city. This prevents the breakdown of the river, but the breakdown is created on the other side.
* Unplanned Dredging: We see dredging regularly in the river. Dredging does not always benefit. Unplannedly, there is no balance between the depth and wideness of the river. This creates river erosion.
Finally, before the monsoon, the river erosion has started in different districts. The river goes to a wide area. Many villages, towns, crops are lost in the river. Thousands of people are homeless, helpless.
At this time of the year, the river erosion has become a regular occurrence. It is as if it is the fate of the countrymen. News of the river breaks on newspapers and TV channels. News of the erosion will come for a few more months. About 80 percent of the total area of Bangladesh is included in the main three river basin. In addition to the main three rivers Padma, Brahmaputra and Meghna, the number of small and large rivers of the river Bangladesh is about 410. The length of these rivers is about 24 thousand 14.km. Of these, at least 12,000 km of coastline is identified as a river -prone area. About 1.5 million people are directly affected by the river erosion. As a result, Bangladesh suffers around Tk 20 crore every year. Apart from this, about 8.700 hectares of land is destroyed every year. The landowners suffered the most affected by the river erosion due to heavy rainfall in June to September. Because they can never recover that land. And the river erosion of this country is an ancient and terrible problem. Throughout the rainy season, the breakdown continues. The incidence of erosion at the end of the monsoon is slightly reduced, but it continues to dimension throughout the year. This time, the people of the river erosion have echoed the previous words, 'We do not want relief, to prevent river erosion first'. In fact, the government does not have the same allocation for preventing river erosion and rehabilitation of the river-breaking people and providing necessary assistance.
Although the government funds in the districts or upazilas, some of the dysfunction support are assisted in the name of the government, but due to the inadequacy of the fund, it is not very rewarding. The government must have some specific plans to release them from the regular misery of the people of the river. The district-upazilas need to have a well-provided funds in the rehabilitation of the river broken people. Similarly, the development organizations that work in the river erosion area will have an integrated fund from which they will soon be able to take effective steps in the disaster areas.
Flood, river erosion is not new in this country surrounded by our river. But we still have not been able to show the ability to prevent river erosion, and to control the flood. As a result, the amount of damage to our floods is increasing every year.
Similarly, low -income chars are being affected due to river erosion. We remember that about 1million people live in the area are one of our resources. We have to fix the proper strategy to protect these 1 million people. The fear is that the cultivable land is decreasing every year in Bangladesh. People are growing. River -dwellers are pressing people in big cities. What is the future in the situation where the situation is going? However, even if you want to plan, it is not possible for people to prevent such a great catastrophe even after the plan. Still, the maximum caution has to be taken to reduce the river erosion. For this, not just the national, but international assistance, advice and plans should be taken.
