That injury made him sleep forever in a hotel room in Germany. When CMH got injured from the book fair and regained his life, he first said that I will go to the book fair. He expressed his desire to write a book about the incident of being attacked at the book fair to his two daughters. He also decided the name of the book, 'One second away from death'.

But he could not write that book. However, he received death threats several times, threatened his family, attempted to abduct his son Ananya. He was really upset when the family was threatened.

He gave great importance to family. He gave most of his time to his family members outside of writingThreats and all the turmoil, he moved to distant Germany for a while for the sake of his family. But he could not be safe even after going to Germany. On August 15th, this unconventional strong writer left the world. But the mystery of his death in the hotel room remained unknown. Even after his death, a group stood up to prevent Humayun Azad's funeral from being done on the soil of Bengal. Humayun Azad was laid to rest in his most beloved place in his village Rarikhal.
