Terrible fire at Sajek tourist center

A fire broke out at Sajek Tourist Center in Rangamati. The incident took place at the Ruilui Tourist Center in Sajek Union on Monday afternoon.
The horrific fire at the Sajek Resort, a tourist center in Rangamati, could not be brought under control even after two and a half hours. The fire service, army and locals are working to control the fire.
Rahul Chakma, organizing secretary of the Sajek Resort Cottage Owners Association, said, "A terrible fire has broken out at the resort of the Sajek Tourism Center. Work is being done to control the fire, but the fire has spread in all directions. It is not possible to say at this time how many resorts have caught fire."
Baghaichhari Upazila Executive Officer Shirin Akter said, "A fire broke out at a resort in Sajek around noon. The army and locals immediately tried to control the fire. Two units from Khagrachari and Dighinala are working to put out the fire, while two units from and Rangamati Fire Service have left for Sajek." The extent of the damage in the fire cannot be estimated at this time.
Acting Zone Commander of Baghaihat Zone, Major Md. Abu Nayem Khandaker said, "The fire in Sajek is not yet under control. It is not possible to say exactly how many resorts have burned at this time. The extent of the damage cannot be estimated either."
