
Teenage businessman killed in road accident at Ashashuni

A tragic road accident claimed the life of an 18-year-old teenager named Mehedi Hasan Hridoy at Budhata Bazaar in Ashashuni upazila of Satkhira on Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at 9:00 AM in front of Gazi Traders (Anar’s fertilizer shop) when a motorcycle collided with a speeding trolley.
According to eyewitnesses, Hridoy was heading to the market on his motorcycle when the trolley hit him. Locals rushed to rescue him and attempted to take him to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries on the way.
Hridoy used to run a mobile accessories shop in Budhata Bazaar. He was the only son of Jamal Uddin, a physically disabled man from Beula village. Hridoy was the sole breadwinner of the family.
His sudden death has cast a shadow of grief over the entire community. Locals blame reckless driving and the unchecked movement of illegal trolleys for the accident and have demanded immediate action to identify and punish the responsible driver.
