Teacher and journalist Monirul Islam Rajib donated blood 51 times

Tongi (Gazipur) Correspondent

'People will die for blood and I can't wait and see without donating blood, it is a great achievement for me that a person will be better by donating my blood.

39-year-old Monirul Islam Rajiv expressed this expression when asked to know that this word has been working as an inspiration behind blood donation for many years. He has donated blood 51 times over the past 22 years.

Monirul Islam Rajib is working as a correspondent of the English daily The Country Today.

About the story of the beginning of blood donation, Monirul Islam Rajib said, "In 2002, a man met with a road accident on his way home from college, and when I took him to the hospital, he needed blood. My blood group was not known then.

I told the hospital authorities to check my blood group and if it matches I will give blood and then start donating blood. I can't tell you how happy it is that a person gets a new life by donating blood, it is human peace for me. I always like to give blood to those who have no one, please pray for those helpless people that I can make a century with blood.

On June 7, Monirul Islam Rajib set a precedent by donating blood 51 times in the organization of Shekhar's search, a batch-based organization, and with the help of Quantum Foundation. I wish that he will be an idol to everyone by donating blood.
