
TCV vaccination campaign inaugurated in Satkhira

An inaugural ceremony was held in Satkhira on the occasion of TCV Vaccination Campaign 2025. The vaccination campaign was inaugurated at Satkhira Government Girls High School at 9:30 am on Sunday by the District Health Department, Satkhira. Satkhira Deputy Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed presided over the inaugural ceremony, while Satkhira Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Abdus Salam and Satkhira Police Superintendent Mohammad Monirul Islam spoke.

It is worth noting that vaccination will be carried out in Satkhira from today for children aged 9 months to 15 years (9th grade). More than 5 lakh 5 thousand vaccines will be administered in the district.
In Bangladesh, about 478,000 people were infected with typhoid fever in 2021, of which 7,000 died. To control typhoid disease, the government has started a free vaccination program under the management of EPI.
