Symbols alloted to candidates in four Upazila Parishad elections of Rangamati

Symbols have been allotted to the candidates in the four upazilas of Rangamati in the first phase of the general election of the sixth upazila parishad election on May 8.
District Election Officer Md. Monir Hossain announced the symbols at Rangamati District Election Office on Tuesday (April 23).
At this time, candidates from Rangamati Sadar, Barkal, Jurachhari and Kaukhali upazilas were present. Later, Rangamati District Election Officer handed over the symbols to the candidates. Through this, a total of 32 candidates in four upazilas including Rangamati Sadar survived in the first phase election to be held on May 8. Out of this, a total of 14 candidates will compete for 3 positions in Rangamati Sadar Upazila, 5 candidates in Kaukhali, 7 candidates in Jurachhari and 6 candidates in Barkal Upazila, the Election Office authorities have confirmed.
District Election Officer Mohammad Monir Hossain requested the contesting candidates of 4 upazilas of Rangamati district to follow the code of conduct of the Election Commission to make the election fair and beautiful. Besides, if any kind of complaint is found against anyone, the Election Commission will be obliged to take necessary measures, he said.
