A symbolic marathon was organized in Faridpur to commemorate the July Student-People’s Uprising.
The event was jointly organized by the Faridpur District Administration, the Department of Youth Development, and the Faridpur District Sports Office on Friday morning at around 7:30 AM.
Presided over by Additional District Commissioner (General) Md. Sohrab Hossain, the event was attended by Additional District Commissioner Mintu Biswas, Upazila Executive Officer Ishrat Jahan, District Youth Development Officer Md. Moinul Hossain, District Education Officer Bishnupad Ghoshal, District Sports Officer Al Amin Khandaker, and others.
The marathon started from the District Commissioner’s office, circled the town, and concluded at the Rajbari road intersection. Participants included officials from various government and private institutions as well as former athletes.
