Sylhet BNP preparatory meeting today : Massive preparations to welcome Tarique Rahman

A preparatory meeting will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 am at the initiative of Sylhet Metropolitan BNP to welcome the arrival of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.
The meeting was organized at the main election office of Sylhet-1 Constituency candidate in Topkhana.
Metropolitan BNP Acting President Rezaul Hasan Qays Lodi and General Secretary Imdad Hossain Chowdhury have requested all members of the Sylhet Metropolitan BNP Executive Committee, leaders of six police stations, and the 42 ward BNP Super Five (including the conveners of those wards where there are no elected committees) to be present on time at this preparatory meeting.
Meanwhile, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is returning to his in-laws' home in Sylhet after a long 22 years. He will arrive in Sylhet on January 21. This is his first visit outside Dhaka after taking charge as BNP Chairman.
The district BNP has also started preparations to make his visit successful.
To this end, another preparatory meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday evening, at the initiative of Sylhet district BNP at Emran's Associates office in Mendibhag, Sylhet metropolis. District BNP president Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury and district BNP general secretary and party-nominated candidate for Sylhet-6 Constituency Adv Emran Ahmed Chowdhury have called on the district BNP executive committee members, upazila and municipal BNP presidents-general secretaries, and leaders of organ and associate organizations to attend.
It is learned that after reaching Sylhet on the night of January 21, he will visit the shrines of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and Hazrat Shahparan (RA) on January 22. After that, he will officially start BNP's election campaign by holding a public meeting at Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet city at 11 am. BNP's nominated candidates from Sylhet and Sunamganj districts will participate in the public meeting.
He will also address separate public meetings in Sherpur, Moulvibazar, and Shayestaganj, Habiganj, as the chief guest and introduce the candidates of the respective districts. After the visit, he is scheduled to leave for Dhaka by road.
There is a lot of enthusiasm in the entire division including Sylhet regarding Tarique Rahman's visit to Sylhet. BNP leaders are working in coordination with the administration to control the law and order situation and traffic congestion to ensure that the public meetings are held in a peaceful and orderly environment.
