Sunnat prayer is important and great
Dr. Muhammad Mahtab Hossain Mazed
It is proven that the Prophet (PBUH) performed the acts of prayer, but he did not give importance to them as Fard and Wajib. These are called the Sunnah of prayers. Along with obligatory prayers, Sunnah prayers are also very important. Hazrat Rasulullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam by performing Sunnah prayers in a proper and correct manner. - His incomparable ideals followed and immense love for him manifested.
There are 12 rakat Sunnah prayers before and after the five daily obligatory prayers, which are of immense importance. In the terminology of Shariah, Sunnah is said to be the commandment, which is not as essential as Farz-Wajib, but it is proven from the regular practice of Rasulullah (SAW). -(Fiqhus Sunnah, 160)
> Importance of Sunnah prayers
It has been said about the importance of Sunnah prayers that if there is a deficiency in one's obligatory prayer on the Day of Judgment, Allah will make up for that deficiency through this prayer.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, the first deed that will be counted from the servant is the prayer." If the prayer is correct, he will get salvation and success. Otherwise (if the prayer is not correct) it will be destroyed and damaged.
So (during reckoning) if there is a deficiency in the obligatory prayers, Allah Ta'ala will say to the angels, 'Look, does my servant have any nafal (prayer).' Then the account of another period will be accepted.' -(Sunan Abu Dawud, 770, Tirmidhi, 337, Ibn Majah, 117)
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to perform the Sunnahs before and after the fard daily, never refrained from performing them without any special reason, and ordered the Companions to perform them.
> Virtues of Sunnah
On the authority of Umm Habiba, may Allah be pleased with her, she said, The Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, "Whoever prays 12 rak'ahs at night and day, a house will be built for him in Paradise." They are four rakats before Zohr (obligatory prayer), two rakats after it, two rakats after Maghrib, two rakats after Isha, two rakats before Fajr prayer. -(Tirmidhi, Kitabus Salat, 1/440,445)
Ammajan Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa. Narrated by, he said, Allah's Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, 'Whoever regularly prays 12 rak'ahs day and night will enter Paradise; Four rakats before Zohr (obligatory prayer) and two rakats after it, two rakats after Maghrib, two rakats after Isha and two rakats before Fajr (obligatory prayer)Majah 577)> There are two types of Sunnah before and after prayer
There are two types of Sunnah which are recited before and after obligatory prayers. The first type is, Sunnat Muakkadah. The second is, the Sunnat Ghare Muakkadah.
Sunnah Muakkadah is called that Sunnah, on which Rasulullah (s.a.) He used to practice regularly in such a way that he never left it without any reason. For example, men praying in congregation, giving adhan for congregation, four rakats before Zohr (obligatory prayer) and two rakats after it, two rakats after Maghrib, two rakats after Isha and two rakats before Fajr (obligatory prayer) etc.
The provision of this worship is that it is a sin to leave it regularly without reason, but it can be left suddenly if necessary. At times the unwarranted renouncer will be reprimanded, but will not be called a fasiq or a kafir.
Muakkadah outside the Sunnah is said to be the Sunnah which Rasulullah (s.a.w.a.s.) used to practice regularly, but sometimes left it without reason. He is also called Mustahab, Nafal, Mandub.
Acting on them is praiseworthy and rewarding. But an unjustified deserter cannot be reprimanded. Such as tahajjud and other nafal prayers, nafal fasting, nafal charity and nafal Hajj, charity and public service work etc. However, some of these practices are more important than others. According to some Ulama, Sunnah Zaida is more important than Mustahab-Nafal. (Kashful Asrar: 2/302)
> Circumcision while traveling
And two types of deeds of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and the Sahabah have been described regarding whether or not to pray the Sunnah prayer while travelling. In some narrations there is mention of reading Sunnat. In some narrations, it is also said not to read the Sunnah.
However, regarding the Fajr Sunnah, Hazrat Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam would not leave it under any circumstances, whether he was healthy or sick, a traveler or a resident. -Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaiba: 3950
Therefore, the Fajr Sunnah should be performed seriously while traveling. In the case of circumcision at other times, the ruling is that the circumcision should not be recited during the rush and busyness of the journey. And if there is no rush and busyness on the journey and there is time to read the Sunnah, then if possible, read it. And it is better to read the Sunnah if it is safe and normal at the destination. In this case, the circumcision will not leave.
The provision of two rakats of four rakat prayers while traveling is only applicable to obligatory prayers, there is no penalty for sunnah prayers. Therefore, if you read the Sunnah while traveling, you should read the full four rakats. -Jamee Tirmidhi: 550
May Allah Ta'ala grant Tawfik to the Muslim Ummah to perform Fajr Sunnah prayers properly and regularly. Give Tawfiq to participate in Fajr Jamaat with Takbeera Ula after Fajr Sunnah. Amen
