Students detained person who claimed to be quota reform coordinator in Rupganj

Students detained a person claiming to be the coordinator of anti-discrimination student movement in Rupganj, Narayanganj.
He was arrested from Bhulta School and College of Upazila on Monday afternoon.
Then they handed over to the Executive Magistrate. His name is Anisur Rahman. He is a student of Dhaka University and a resident of Charitalluk village of Bholabo union in Rupganj.
It is known that during the anti-discrimination student movement, the students of various educational institutions of Rupganj actively participated in different areas of the upazila, but the arrested person was not present in any program. After the formation of the interim government, he formed a committee of 109 members of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement Parishad-Rupganj and announced himself as the convener.
Yesterday he and his committee people had a courtesy meeting with Rupganj Police Station, Aceland and Upazila Executive Officer. He also visited Chanpara Basti, a crime-prone area of Rupganj. On Monday (August 11) at around 12 noon, when the students of Rupganj were conducting traffic management, graffiti on the walls, cleaning activities, he came on a motorcycle and demanded the leader of those students.
Enraged by this, the students of Bhulta School and College and the surrounding students arrested him. They later handed him over to Executive Magistrate Simon Sarkar.
In this regard, Upazila Executive Officer Ahsan Mahmud Russell said that his name and address are being verified. If he is a real fraud then we take necessary action.
