Strong condemnation and protest of attack on Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in India

Monday the Khilafat Majlis condemned and strongly protested the attack on the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, Tripura by Indian extremist Hindutva organizations.
In the statement given, Amir Maulana Abdul Bashit Azad of Khilafat Majlis and Joint Secretary General Advocate Jahangir Hossain said that recently the Indian media has been telling lies about the internal issues of Bangladesh one after another. Last Monday, an attack was carried out in front of the police in the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala, the capital of Tripura. It caused extensive damage to the embassy.
The attackers also showed audacity by insulting the national flag of Bangladesh. We strongly condemn and protest these acts of Indian extremists. Attacks on foreign embassies like this cannot happen in any civilized country. Indian police have completely failed to provide security to the Bangladesh embassy. We demand from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh to immediately summon the Indian ambassador and force him to apologize to the people of Bangladesh for this incident. A strong message should be sent to the Indian government not to poke its nose into the internal affairs of Bangladesh.
