Strike of Left Democratic Alliance in Rangpur

In protest against increase in fuel oil, urea fertilizer, transport fares, load shedding and increase in prices of daily commodities including edible oil, rice, pulses, flour, medicines, a midnight strike was observed in Rangpur on Thursday called by the Left Democratic Alliance.
As part of the central program of the alliance, the leaders of the district Left Alliance held a series of protest marches and pickets in support of the strike on the main roads of the city from 6 am to 12 pm on 25 August 2022, yesterday.
During the march, the leaders of the alliance requested the shop owners and auto-rickshaw drivers to stop the shops and auto-rickshaws. The procession was led by Rangpu Left Democratic Alliance coordinator and Bangladesh Somajtantrik Dal district convener Abdul Quddus, Bangladesh Somajtantrik Dal (Marxist) district convener Anwar Hossain Bablu, CPB metropolitan president Sajedul Islam Saju, Bangladesh Somajtantrik Dal district member-secretary Mominul Islam, Bangladesh Somajtantrik Dal (Marxist) member-secretary Ahsanul Arefin.
Titu and other leaders. After picketing at the junction of the city's main road, the Left Alliance leaders held a rally in front of the District Commissioner's office in Kachari Bazar. Bamjot Rangpur District Coordinator Comrade Abdul Quddus presided over it.
