Stop playing badminton with illegal electricity connection

Tanjid Shuvro

The fog is signaling the arrival of winter. Badminton became a favorite game for the young generation who like football and cricket during this time. When winter really begins, badminton starts everywhere in cities and villages. Since there is an opportunity to play by making temporary courts in a few places, badminton is played from the afternoon until late at night.

Many times, for the need for artificial lighting, high-voltage lights are lit by connecting electricity from the main line of the street. Which is not calculated by the meter.

In this way, lighting lights with electrical connections is not only wasting state resources, but also increasing the risk. Unsafe electricity connections from the main line can cause major accidents.

There is a provision of imprisonment, fine or both as punishment for using electricity illegally or by stealing it. However, many people are doing this risky criminal act without knowing about it.

Verbal permission from an official of the electricity department is not enough to take government electricity from the main line of the electricity. Because they can sell electricity by following the proper process, they do not have the opportunity to give electricity to anyone for free.

Therefore, if necessary, electricity will have to be taken from a private line subject to purchase for organizing badminton games. It is important for the concerned to carry out various promotional activities to increase public awareness in this regard.
