State Minister Barrister Mir Helal expresses gratitude to PM over distribution of 'Farmer Cards' to 1,200 farmers in Hathazari

State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin MP on Thursday commended the farmer-friendly, visionary initiative of the government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman aimed at improving the livelihoods of agricultural workers and building a self-reliant Bangladesh.
The State Minister expressed deep gratitude to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on behalf of the residents of Hathazari while addressing as the chief guest at the formal inauguration of the 'Farmer Card' distribution ceremony organized by the Hathazari Upazila Administration at the Mirzapur High School premises on Thursday evening. Officially, 'Farmer Cards' were distributed among 1,200 farmers and agricultural workers across Hathazari Upazila during the event.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the nationwide distribution of Family Cards and Farmer Cards from the Phulgazi Government Pilot High School grounds in Feni district. The Prime Minister also launched an honorarium program for imams, muezzins, and khadems of mosques, as well as priests and monks of other religious places of worship. Related programs in various districts and upazilas, including Chattogram, were connected virtually to the central inauguration event.
Addressing the farmers in Hathazari, State Minister said, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman delivers on his promises, describing it as the core strength of the present government. He remarked that the development witnessed in Hathazari over the past seven months surpassed what was achieved in the preceding 17 years, expressing confidence that the ongoing development momentum across Hathazari, Bayezid, and the broader Chattogram-5 constituency will continue under the Prime Minister's leadership.
During the video conference connecting Feni to venues nationwide, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inquired about the overall situation of the Farmer Card distribution in Hathazari from Barrister Mir Helal. In response, the State Minister conveyed that 1,200 farmers received their cards as part of the special initiative, bringing immense enthusiasm to the local agricultural community. He reassured the Prime Minister of the unwavering support of the people of Hathazari.
Presided over by Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Jahidul Islam Miah, the ceremony was attended by Chittagong University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Al Forquan, Chattogram Superintendent of Police Md. Masud Alam BPM, Department of Agricultural Extension Chattogram Deputy Director Apru Marma, and Hathazari Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Muhammad Abdullah Al Momin, among other local dignitaries.
