Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh to level ODI series

Visiting Sri Lanka thrashed Bangladesh by 3 wickets in the second ODI of the three-match series in Chattogram on Friday.

Sri Lanka hunt down the target of 286 with 17 balls to spare at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.

Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka hit his sixth ODI ton and Charith Asalanka missed out on his century but helped to get their side over the line in a three-wicket win in the second ODI of the three-match series against Bangladesh.

Earlier, Bangladesh posted a challenging total of 286 runs before Sri Lanka. Towhid Hridoy smashed a 96-run innings hitting five sixes and three fours to take the team to the total.

Earlier on batting, Bangladesh lost Liton Das without adding any runs on the board like in the first game.
However, Soumya Sarkar and Najmul Hossain Shanto counterattacked the opposition bowlers and provided a brilliant partnership of 75 runs between them.

Shanto departed for 40 from 39 balls but Soumya completed his 12th ODI fifty before being out for 68 from 66.
