Speaker returns home

Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today returned home after her official visit to the United Kingdom (UK) and the United States (US).
During her visit, she attended the 15th workshop of Parliamentary Scholars and Parliamentarians at Wroxton College in Oxfordshire, the UK, the 73rd birth anniversary ceremony of Martyr Captain Sheikh Kamal at the initiative of Bangladesh High Commission in London, meeting with current and former Secretary General of CPA, meeting with MPs and Lords of UK, meeting at Royal Geographical Society and International Institute for Strategic Studies, Observance of Mourning Day 2022 by the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations in New York, United States and several meetings with UN Women, UNICEF, UNDP and UNOPS, a press release said.
The Speaker left Dhaka on July 28 to participate in the several functions.
