However, this newfound influence is not without its challenges, as misinformation and fake news have infiltrated the digital landscape, posing threats to social cohesion and political discourse.

The advent of the internet and the subsequent rise of social media platforms have redefined the way information is disseminated. Traditional media outlets like newspapers, television, and radio have given way to an interconnected and participatory digital landscape. The immediacy of social media allows for the rapid dissemination of news and information, often outpacing traditional journalism.

Social media has empowered individuals to become active contributors to the global information ecosystem. Platforms like Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram provide an avenue for people to voice their opinions, share their experiences, and engage with a vast audience.
