
Shishu Polli Plus celebrates its 36 years anniversary

Shishu Polli Plus (SPP) celebrated its 36th anniversary with a joyful event at its premises, inviting the public to visit and see its work for mothers and children in need.
The day started with a special gate-opening ceremony. Patricia Kerr, the founder and overseas director of SPP, officially opened the event by cutting the ribbon. Barrister Sajib Ahmed, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), attended as the Chief Guest.
After the opening, Patricia Kerr gave a warm welcome speech, thanking supporters and donors for being part of SPP’s journey. She promised that SPP would continue helping vulnerable mothers and children by providing care, training, and rehabilitation.
Chief Guest Barrister Sajib Ahmed praised SPP for its great work. He said that more organisations like SPP should exist in every Upazila of Bangladesh to support poor mothers and children.
Mothers and staff members shared their heartfelt experiences, telling how SPP had changed their lives. The event also featured a lively cultural programme performed by the children of SPP.
Different departments of SPP set up stalls in the main field to showcase their activities. Visitors could explore the work of Agriculture,Child & Mother care (CMC), Sreepur Village Trade & Rehabilitation Department, and the SPP Clinic.
Everyone enjoyed a delicious anniversary lunch, bringing together guests, staff, and beneficiaries to celebrate this special occasion.
SPP remains committed to providing shelter, education, and job opportunities for mothers and children in need. This event showed SPP’s dedication to openness, inclusion, and community support, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
