Deputy Minister of Water Resources and former organizing secretary of Awami League AKM Enamul Haque Shamim MP said that because of Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we have been able to develop extensively in Naria-Sakhipur and Shariatpur in the last five years. Shariatpur district has no more river erosion, he added.

We have now become an electricity self-sufficient district. We have established electricity connection through submarine cables in the remote areas of Padma, Char Charatra, Kanchikata and Naopara. Now we have arranged to reach electricity through the river crossing tower. Those unions are being arranged in the pattern of Saint Martin. The work of Shariatpur's four-lane road is also progressing rapidly.

He said this during a view exchange with the leaders of Shariatpur Naria and Sakhipur Peshaji Parishad at the Deputy Minister's office in the Jatiya Sangsad on Tuesday evening.

He also said that the Agricultural University has been approved in Shariatpur. Agricultural products of Shariatpur are now being exported to Europe. In Naria-Sakhipur, 82 primary schools have new buildings.

All the non MPO affiliated educational institutions have been MPO affiliated. Sheikh Russell Digital Lab has been set up in all educational institutions. Everything is being done to modernize the educational institutions.

A government polytechnic institute has been approved at Naria. At least 1 lakh 20 thousand people of Naria-Sakhipur directly enjoy some government benefits. Padmarpar in Naria upazila with flying bridge and 50-bed "Jaibangla Avenue" has now become a tourist center.

The Deputy Minister said that Naria has now become a peaceful town free from violence and fighting. Meghna Bridge is now in design after feasibility test. Naria-Sakhipur is now advancing from all sides. And I will finish the unfinished works by winning the election again on January 7, Inshallah. Thinking about their issues, we are also thinking of doing something expatriate friendly. In the future, I will develop Naria-Sakhipur and Shariatpur as a smart area with the help of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina. I want everyone's cooperation for this.
