Various events were organized in Dinajpur  to observe the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, the proclaimer of Bangladesh's independence, architect of modern and self-reliant Bangladesh, initiator of multi-party democracy, and founder of the BNP 

The day-long programs on Friday  included Qur’an recitation, discussion meetings, milad and doa mahfils, blood donation campaigns, and distribution of cooked food among the poor and needy.

The cooked food distribution was organized by the Dinajpur District BNP, along with its affiliated wings—Jubo Dal, Chhatra Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, and others. The initiative was inaugurated by Advocate Mofazzal Hossain Dulal, President of the Dinajpur District BNP, and acting General Secretary Murad Ahmed.

Among the attendees were BNP National Executive Committee member Syed Jahangir Alam, District BNP Vice Presidents Akhtaruzzaman Jewel and Md. Hafizur Rahman, District BNP member Mostafa Kamal Milon, District Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Russel Ali Chowdhury Limon, District Krishak Dal Joint Convener Rafiqul Islam Pavel, District Chhatra Dal acting President Rubel Islam and General Secretary Abuzar Setu, District Mahila Dal Joint General Secretary Hasmatun Nahar Suborna, Organizational Secretary Hasina Begum, and other leaders and activists from various wings of the Dinajpur BNP.

From 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Doa Mahfils were held at each ward of the municipality and at the union level, organized by the district BNP, municipal BNP, Kotwali BNP, Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal, Chhatra Dal, Sramik Dal, Mahila Dal, Tanti Dal, Krishak Dal, and other affiliated bodies. After the prayer events, cooked meals were distributed among the poor and distressed.

Leaders and activists from all levels of the district and municipal BNP and its affiliate organizations participated in the programs throughout the day.
