A night football tournament was inaugurated in Kalapara with 24 teams organized by Shaheed Imran Haider Zia Sports and Social Foundation.

On Friday at around 8 pm, Kalapara Upazila BNP President Haji Md. Humayun Sikder inaugurated the futsal football tournament at the Nilganj Union Parishad ground.

Shaheed Imran Haider Zia Memorial Parishad Director Riyadul Islam and Zahidul Islam Zahid moderated the keynote address, Kalapara Upazila BNP General Secretary, Adv. The inaugural ceremony of Shaheed Imran Haider Zia Memorial Night Football Tournament was presided over by Union BNP Organizing Secretary, Professor Sohrab Hossain.

The invited guests said that the young youth of the country should participate more in sports. Then the youth will be free from drugs. There is no alternative to sports along with studies. Every person should be vocal against drugs. The youth is the future of the future. Everyone should stay away from drugs.

The guests appreciated the event. Fatehpur Junior Fighters and Chacha Bhatija XI participated in the opening match. 24 teams from different regions will participate in this tournament. Chacha Bhatija XI defeated Fatehpur XI and won.

Hundreds of sports lovers from different unions of Kalapara Upazila have come to organize this unique tournament. A gallery has been made in the form of a stadium with buses and wood for them. The spectators can enjoy the game comfortably by sitting in this gallery.

The visitors who came said that the gallery that has been made in the form of a stadium in Kalapara Upazila is not seen in any other tournament in the Upazila. The players will be encouraged by the creative talent of those who organized this tournament and the beautiful gallery made of buses and wood for the players and spectators. Taifur Rahman Arif, a member of the Shaheed Imran Haider Zia Memorial Tournament Organizing Committee, said that we have tried to make this tournament different from all the tournaments in the Upazila.
