The event wss organized by the Satkhira District Administration and the Department of Women Affairs at the DC's Conference Room.
Chaired by Nazmun Nahar, Deputy Director of the Department of Women Affairs, Satkhira, the sewing machines were handed over to the trainees by Satkhira District Administrator Mostak Ahmed, who was the chief guest.
The special guest was District Information Officer Zaharul Islam Tutul. Others present included Program Officer Fatema Johra, Computer Office Application Trainer Abdullah Al Mamun, Certificate in Beautification Trainer Tasrina Khatun, Showpiece and Handicraft Making Trainer Lutfun Nahar Bithi, Mobile Phone Servicing Trainer Md. Zakir Hossain, and Dress Making and Tailoring Trainer Nuraia Naznin, among others.
Out of 54 participants from various areas of Satkhira who completed a three-month training program in two sessions, 20 trainees who passed both oral and practical examinations conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate received the sewing machines free of charge.
