The introduction meeting of the advisory board and the president panel of the newly formed committee of the Expatriate Mirzaganj Upazila Association of Mirzaganj Upazila in Patuakhali was held on Monday at 10 am on the third floor of Nannu Shopping Complex in Subidkhali Bazar.

Mirzaganj Upazila Association President Mohammad Ariful Rahman Sumon Mallick presided over the function.

Mirzaganj UNO Mohammad Tariqul Islam was present as the chief guest.

Mewly formed committee advisor of Mirzaganj Upazila Association Md. Mobarak Ali Munshi, advisor Md. Ahsanullah Pintu, advisor Golam Faruk Munshi, advisor Ayub Khan, Mirzaganj Upazila BNP Senior Joint General Secretary Harun Or Rashid Munshi, Mirzaganj Upazila Jamaat Ameer Maulana Sirajul Haque, and prominent educationist Mirzaganj Upazila Association Chief Advisor Alhaj Md. Forkan Howlader were present.

In the speech of the chief guest, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer said, this is a non-political organization, this organization has been working in the service of the people for a long time, a few days ago it stood by a child of Mirzaganj who was injured in the mass uprising of students and the public on August 5, 2024, the program was hosted by Saiful Islam Siam, Vice-President of the Expatriate Mirzaganj Upazila Association.

At the beginning of the introductory meeting, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the advisors and members of the Expatriate Mirzaganj Upazila Association who died.

In the second phase, sewing machines were distributed to a helpless and distressed family. On November 5, 2024, a tailor shop burned down in a fire at the Buffalo Cutting Market in Mirzaganj, Mirzaganj UNO Md. Tariqul Islam handed over a state-of-the-art sewing machine to the affected family on behalf of the Expatriate Mirzaganj Upazila Association.
