A career development seminar titled “BCS and Bangladesh Army: Career Guidance, Preparation, and Opportunities” was held on Wednesday at the Central Tea Bar of Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET).

The seminar was jointly organized by the BAUET Career and Placement Center (CPC) and BAUET Career Club (BCC).

Brigadier General S M Lutfor Rahman, Vice Chancellor of BAUET, attended the program as the Chief Guest. Md. Samsul Islam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Bagatipara, Natore, was present as the Resource Person.

The seminar focused on various career opportunities in the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) and Bangladesh Army, effective strategies for job preparation, techniques for succeeding in competitive examinations, essential skill development, and ways to overcome challenges in professional life. The participants also received valuable guidance on career planning, building self-confidence, developing leadership qualities, and preparing effectively for their future careers.

The primary objective of the seminar was to raise awareness among students about career opportunities in government service and the Bangladesh Army and to encourage them to acquire the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to succeed in today's competitive job market.

Among others, Colonel Dewan Md. Liaqat Ali (Retd.), Registrar of BAUET, and Partha Pratim Debnath, Associate Professor of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering (ICE) and Adviser to the Career and Placement Center (CPC), attended the program.

Fourth-year students of the university actively participated in the seminar. The program is expected to play a significant role in helping students make informed career choices and prepare themselves for future professional challenges.
