Sandgrouse rescued, released in Lawchhara forest in Srimangal

The Bangladesh Wildlife Service Foundation in Srimangal has rescued a sandgrouse from a locality in Srimangal, Moulvibazar on Tuesday.
 
 Rajdeep Devdeep, Director of the Wildlife Service Foundation and environmental activist  rescued  Gandhagokul from Kalapur Union in Srimangal Upazila.
 
Sajal Dev said,  the locals trapped the elephant and informed the Wildlife Service Foundation. After receiving the information, we quickly went and rescued the animal.
 
Local residents said that for the past few months, their domesticated ducks and chickens had been disappearing. So far, 30/35 of their ducks and chickens have been lost. Later, when they realized that their domesticated ducks and chickens were being eaten by a sandgrouse, they caught the sandgrouse and informed the Wildlife Service Foundation.
 
Later, the raccoon  was handed over to the office of the local Forest Department Range Officer and the animal was released in the Janakichhara area of Lawachhara.
