Sacrificed goats and distributed meat to orphanages in Shyamnagar praying for Khaleda Zia’s recovery

In a special humanitarian initiative praying for the recovery and long life of BNP chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia, who is critically ill, Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman, the BNP nominee for Satkhira-4 (Dhaner Sheesh), carried out a program in Shyamnagar. On Tuesday  at his own expense he slaughtered 24 goats and arranged lunch for orphans at various Quranic schools and orphanages across the upazila’s 11 unions and the municipality. Throughout the day, the goats were taken to and sacrificed at orphanages and madrasas in Bhurulia, Kashimari, Nurnagar, Kaikhali, Ramjanagar, Munsiganj, Ishwaripir, Burigoalini, Atulia, Padmapukur and Gabura unions as well as the municipal area. Leaders and activists from the upazila and union BNP and its affiliate organizations participated in these activities. Dr. Moniruzzaman said he carried out this sacrifice praying for the recovery of the nation’s leader Begum Khaleda Zia. Also present was Solaiman Kabir, the recently former convenor of Shyamnagar Upazila BNP. Among those present were Upazila BNP Vice President G.M. Liakat Ali; Satkhira District BNP member Advocate Ashek Elahi Munna; former Upazila BNP General Secretary G.M. Sadekur Rahman Sadek; former convener of Shyamnagar Upazila Jubo Dal Shafiqul Islam Dulu; and former organizational secretary of Shyamnagar Sadar Union BNP Abdur Rashid, among others.
