The three heroic girls from the Chittagong Hill Tracts, who won the SAFF Women's Championship 2024, were given a royal reception in Rangamati.

A truck and motor procession was taken out from Ghagra High School in Kaukhali Upazila of Rangamati at 10 am on Saturday.

The procession then circled the main road of Bhedhedi-Asambasti-Tabalchhari-Doel Chattar-Banarupa in Rangamati district town and joined the reception ceremony at the Rangamati Ching Hla Mong Chowdhury Mari Stadium.At this time, thousands of people on both sides of the road raised their hands and warmly welcomed the heroic daughters.

The chief guests at the reception were Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan, Rangamati Region Commander Md. Shawkat Usman, Rangamati Superintendent of Police Dr. S. M. Farhad Hossain, Rangamati Zone Commander Lt. Col. Md. Ershad Hossain Chowdhury, Rangamati Hill District Council Chairman Kajal Talukder, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of the District Administration Md. Shamim Hossain. About Several thousand spectators attended the reception of the SAFF winners.

The reception was given to the winners of the SAFF, Rupana Chakma, Rituparna Chakma, and Monika Chakma.

Rangamati district administration has provided 1 lakh taka to each player, 1 lakh taka per player from Rangamati region, each player was awarded 1 lakh taka by the Rangamati District Council. In addition, each player was awarded 50,000 taka by the Rangamati Municipality. Various organizations and political parties in the district also presented congratulatory mementos to these three players.

SAFF Champion Rituparna said, "We are very proud. It is an achievement for us that we were able to celebrate this victory together. It is a great privilege for us to receive the honor from great people like your's."

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Khan said, "The three talented players have become such bright stars that we are illuminated by their light. Your achievement is incredible. We are proud."

Deputy Commissioner said, "We have drawn the government's attention to setting up a branch of BKSP in Rangamati district and the government has approved it and it is in the process. Very soon, BKSP will be set up in Rangamati. The District Commissioner said that these three accomplished players will also be given 50,000 taka by the District Sports Organization.
