Religious Minister's initiative : 10,000 saplings distributed to madrasas, orphanages in Muradnagar

Some 10,000 saplings of different species have been distributed among students of Qawmi Madrasa, Alia Madrasa and Orphanage to maintain environmental balance and green up the area in Muradnagar.
The saplings of this tree were distributed on the personal initiative of Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad, Member of Parliament for Comilla-3 (Muradnagar) constituency and Minister for Religious Affairs.
On Tuesday afternoon, the upazila administration handed over these saplings to the teachers of 129 Qawmi, Alia Madrasas and orphanages in the upazila.
Comilla Social Forestry Division Headquarters Range Officer Md. Nazmul Hasan was present at the sapling distribution ceremony presided over by Muradnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) ABM Sarwar Rabbi.
Also present at the time were Upazila Rural Development Officer Shafiqul Islam, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Sufi Ahmed, General Secretary of Hefazat-e-Islam Comilla District and Director General of Muradnagar Baro Madrasa Mufti Amjad Hossain, Senior Joint Convener of Muradnagar Upazila Volunteer Party Faruk Ahmed Badsha, Senior Joint Convener of Chhatra Dal Nazim Uddin, former member of Comilla North District BNP Md. Mujib Member, BNP leader Mahmud, madrasa teachers and people from different classes and professions were present.
The concerned said that in addition to planting saplings in educational institutions, teachers and students will be involved in regular maintenance and conservation. This will increase environmental awareness among students and create an opportunity to create a green and livable environment for future generations.
Earlier, on August 30, 10,000 saplings of various species were distributed among the teachers of schools, colleges and madrasas of Muradnagar upazila on the personal initiative of Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad. With the distribution of another 10,000 saplings on Tuesday, a total of 20,000 saplings have been distributed in Muradnagar so far on his personal initiative.
