Release of Destiny MD Rafiqul Amin demanded

Thousands of buyers, distributors and investors from across the country attended the Eid re-union and prayer gathering at Uttara Community Centre in Dhaka on Wednesday.

Regarding the verdict in the historic case of Destiny on May 12, including release of imprisoned Md. Rafiqul Amin and managing director of Media Personality and Destiny-2000 Ltd. And investors will get back all their investment money from the company's MD Md. Rafiqul Amin. They have been demanding this for more than 10 years.

They also said that the verdict in the case of Destiny Multipurpose Co-operative Society will be tomorrow, May 12. This day is historic for investors. Even after a long wait, something good will happen and they will get justice, believing that they are still waiting today. Many became emotional during the speech. They said, Mohammad Rafiqul Amin, publisher and editor of the daily Destiny, managing director of Baishakhi Television, chairman of Destiny Group and managing director of Destiny-2000 Limited, has been jailed without trial. Human rights are violated in the country. There has been a lot of writing and human chain for 10 long years. Several writ petitions were filed in the High Court demanding his release and speedy trial. Finally, the ACC submitted the chargesheet. The verdict in the case is being announced while they are in jail, and investors hope that the verdict will establish justice.

Ibrahim Khalil Liton, Diamond Executive Abdullah Al Mamun, Diamond Executive Engineer Shahidul Islam, Destiny Investors and Buyer-Distributors Md. Go-Diamond Associate General Secretary Md. Saiful Islam, Daily Destiny Deputy Editor Khwaja Khandaker, Sukhdev Chandra Das, Md. AKM Fakhrul Islam, Nirmal Chandra Ghosh, Md. Belal, Akhter Hossain Mridha, Shamima Akhter Soma, SM Alauddin, A.M. H, M Rafiqul Islam Bhuiyan, M, A Ali, Md. Omar Farooq, Md. Shahriar Hossain, Ujjwal Talukder, Subrata Chakraborty, Md. Shahjalal Anshari, Nirmal Ghosh, Bishwanath Poddar, Parimal Kar, Nasima Akter, Farida Yasmin.

Speakers demanded the release of Rafiqul Amin, managing director of Destiny, who was in jail. At the same time, Destiny-2000 Limited is expected to co-operate with the government so that it can resume operations under the leadership of Rafiqul Amin.

Three written demands were raised from Eid Purnamilani and Doa Mahfil. These include the release of Rafiqul Amin, MD of Destiny, arranging for investors to return their investments through Rafiqul Amin and allowing Destiny Limited to resume business through Rafiqul Amin.

The speakers also said that the owners of Destiny are serving 11 years in jail without committing any crime and have not been granted bail. They have been deprived of the basic right of every human being to get bail. It is also unprecedented to take so much time to settle a case according to the rules.

Although the speakers were late, they thanked the verdict on May 12 and said, "We expect our owners to get justice." Because we are not harmed by Destiny, we are not deceived, there is no money laundering or money laundering in Destiny. Destiny has been sued on the basis of completely false, fabricated and fabricated information and has unjustly taken away the employment of our 4.5 million buyers and distributors, we are living a dehumanized life today.

A court is conspiring against Destiny. Whenever Destiny is on the verge of success, a mahal conspires to plunder Destiny's wealth. They are plundering the assets of Destiny Limited in various ways. It is learned that the authorized capital of 34 companies of Destiny Group is Tk 4,408 crore and the paid up capital is Tk 1,835 crore. Since its inception in December 2000, the Destiny-2000, Destiny Multipurpose Co-operative Society (DMCSL) and Destiny Tree Plantation (DTPL) have earned Rs 5,121 crore as of May 2012. From this money, commission expenditure is Tk 1,457 crore, tax and VAT payments are Tk 410 crore, commodity purchases are Tk 425 crore, dividends and interest payments are Tk 284 crore, 200 office administrative expenses are Tk 438 crore, tree planting investment is Tk 223 crore, asset purchase and investment is Tk 1890 crore.

Tk 5105 crore has been spent including crores. These three Destiny Group companies have 96 acres of land and 64,056 square feet of apartments in Dhaka city. Besides, there are 24,547 square feet commercial apartments. According to the report, the current value of Destiny Group's total assets is Tk 9,065 crore.

It was informed at the conference that 4.5 million people have invested in Destiny under the leadership of Rafiqul Amin and the company has its own immovable property worth several thousand crores. The speakers said that millions of people have been affected due to the closure of Destiny's activities. They also believe that if Rafiqul Amin is released and the company is allowed to run its business, the investors will get their money back.

Destiny's investors and buyers-distributors from different parts of the country including Dhaka, Chittagong, Barisal, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Comilla attended the conference. Investors and buyers-distributors at the organization, including the Destiny Wealth Protection Committee and the Destiny Women's Foundation, spoke at the event.
