The Faridpur Press Club has given a reception to the newly- appointed District Council Administrator Afzal Hossain Khan Palash and held a meeting with journalists.

 

 The event was organized at the Faridpur Press Club auditorium on Monday night.Faridpur Press Club President Kabirul Islam Siddiqui presided over the meeting and General Secretary Mahbub Hossain Piyal moderated it. The meeting was attended by senior member of Faridpur Press Club, freedom fighter Mizanur Rahman Manik, senior journalist and Prothom Alo Correspondent Panna Bala, senior joint convener of Metro  BNP AB Siddiqui Mitul, senior members of the press club SM Tamizuddin Taj, Mahfuzul Alam Milon, donor member of Faridpur Press Club Lona T Rahman, senior journalists Zahid Ripon, Sajjad Hossain Roni, vice-presidents of the executive committee of Faridpur Press Club Asaduzzaman Dulal, Monir Hossain, former general secretary of Faridpur Press Club Kamruzzaman Sohel, Hasanuzzaman, Mashiur Rahman Khokon, journalists Moniruzzaman Monir, Belal Chowdhury, Masudur Rahman Tarun, BK Sikder Sajal, Abidur Rahman Nipu, Sanjib Das, NKB Nayan, Nargis Begum and others. Members of Faridpur Press Club were present at the time. The speakers said that under the leadership of the newly appointed District Council Administrator Afzal Hossain Khan Palash, the activities of Faridpur District Council will be more dynamic and people-oriented. They expressed hope that he will play an important role in the development of the district, establishment of good governance and improvement of the quality of public service. The speakers also said that the journalist community has always played a constructive role in the development activities of the district. They also commented that this arrangement of Faridpur Press Club will further strengthen the mutual relationship between the District Council Administrator and the journalists. The chief guest Afzal Hossain Khan Palash said in his speech that he wants to work with everyone for the overall development of Faridpur district. He also said that he will sincerely fulfill his responsibility for the development of the district's infrastructure, increase public services and the welfare of the common people. Earlier, at the beginning of the program, the guests were presented with floral greetings and mementos, and a dinner was organized at the end of the program.
