Reception to 100 primary teachers in Jikargachha

A farewell reception was given to 100 primary teachers after a century in Jashore's Jhikargacha.
Bangladesh Primary Teachers Association Jhikargacha Upazila Branch felicitated new teachers along with retired teachers in the same event.
At 11:30 am on Sunday, a farewell reception for retired teachers and new teachers was given at the open stage of jashore Jhikargacha Upazila Parishad.
Iqbal Ahmed, General Secretary of the Teachers' Association, said, "In 2011, we organized the farewell reception for the last teachers and reception for the newcomers." It is good to organize this event again after 12 long years. A meeting of teachers is held through this program.
Farewell reception was given to 100 teachers in the eventAmong them, there are 41 head teachers and 59 assistant teachers. Besides, 46 new teachers are being welcomed.
Upazila Kamarpara Government Primary School Assistant Teacher Md. Ruhul Amin has come to give farewell reception. He retired in 2011. He entered teaching profession in 1974. After passing SSC in 1972, he first joined Garibpur School in Chougacha. After that he came to Kamarpara Government Primary School through Sialghona Government Primary School and ended his working life.
None of his three sons and one daughter entered the teaching profession. However, the daughter-in-law teaches in a secondary school. It is also nice to have a farewell reception after an era of retirement. At least the teachers who were colleagues, met them, talked - that's it or less.
Umme Salma Sultana was the head teacher of Srirampur Government Primary School in Upazila. She retired in 2017.
On the morning of March 18, the local teachers' association organized their farewell reception. So he came from the capital to Jhikargacha's house.

New assistant teacher Lavanya Akhtar, who was felicitated in the ceremony, said that today is the pain of farewell on the one hand, as well as the call of newcomers. Lavanya Akhtar joined Mohammadpur Government Primary School in Jhikargacha as Assistant Teacher in January this year. Honors and Masters in Physics from Government MM College, Jessore.
Eight primary school teachers including his uncle, elder brother, sister said. He is happy to come to this great profession.
At the beginning of the program, the teachers were welcomed by the leaders of the teachers' association with flowers.
Major General (Retd.) Professor Dr. Jashore-2 Constituency Member of Parliament as the chief guest at the reception. Nasir Uddin gave a virtual speech. He wished the best for all those involved in this great profession like teaching, saying that you are the artisans of making people. Your role in nation building is immense.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahbubul Haque, District Primary Education Officer Abdus Salam, Jhikargacha Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Lubna Takshi, Vice Chairman Salim Reza, Upazila Primary Education Officer Sehli Ferdausi among others spoke at the event.
Sahid Hasan Shamim, president of the organization, presided over the reception.
Each of the felicitated teachers (departure) was given a memento, four thousand in cash and lunch.
