
Rangpur Jamaat leaders visit temples of Hindu community

The Rangpur city leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami visited the temple of Hindu community to protect communal harmony.
On Sunday afternoon, the metropolitan leaders of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami visited Sri Sri Ramakrishna Dev Temple and Sri Paresh Nath Shiva Temple at Mahiganj Bazar in Ward No. 29 of Rangpur city.
During this time, they inquired about the Hindu community and assured them to strengthen their morale.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metropolitan Ameer Mawlana ATM Azam Khan, Nayebe Ameer Professor Anwarul Islam, Assistant Secretary Anwarul Haque Kajal, Publicity Secretary Advocate Kawshar Ali, Jamaat leader Advocate Rabiul Islam, Mahiganj Thana Ameer Fakhi Azizul Islam and Islami Chhatra Shibir leaders were present during the temple visit.
At that time, Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur Metropolitan Ameer Maulana ATM Azam Khan said, “Jamaat-e-Islami does not believe in any kind of vandalism, arson and terrorist activities. There is no caste in Bangladesh. Hindu Muslims want to live together. We are vigilant about this.
We have been vocal that there should be no attack on minorities after the change of government. Temples of the Hindu community are being guarded by our workers. We will ensure safety from our place.”
Ramakrishna Somani, President of Paresh Nath Shiv Mandir said, "We got courage because Jamaat-e-Islami's metropolitan leaders stood by us in our time of insecurity. We are grateful to them and thanking them for their initiative.”
