Rally, discussion held in Ramgarh on BNP's 48th founding anniversary

The 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was celebrated with the participation of BNP's Ramgarh Upazila and Municipal BNP of Khagrachhari and its affiliates and associate organizations through a rally, discussion meeting and cake cutting as part of the central program.
On Tuesday noon, a colorful rally started from in front of the Upazila BNP party office and proceeded along the main road, ending in front of the Ramgarh Shilpi Community Center.
After the rally, Khagrachhari District BNP Vice President Hafez Ahmed Bhuiyan spoke as the chief guest at the discussion meeting chaired by Upazila BNP President Md. Jasim Uddin.
Moderated by Municipal BNP Organizing Secretary Ilias Hossain, Municipal BNP President Md. Bahar Uddin, Upazila BNP General Secretary Safayet Morshed Bhuiyan, Municipal BNP General Secretary Shefayet Ullah, Municipal BNP Senior Vice President Md. Sujayet Ali Shuja, Upazila BNP Joint Secretary Md. Ilias Hossain, Upazila BNP Organizing Secretary Shah Alam Badsha, Municipal BNP Organizing Secretary Jamal Uddin Shamim, along with leaders and activists of district, upazila, municipal BNP and affiliated organizations, spoke.
At the discussion meeting, the Upazila BNP president said that on September 1, 1978, at 5 pm, at a press conference at Ramna Restaurant, the then President Ziaur Rahman, the founder of BNP, announced the party's formal journey. Following his example, the Ramgarh Upazila and Municipal BNP family, like the rest of the country, celebrated the 48th founding anniversary of BNP with various day-long events.
At the end of the meeting, the founding anniversary cake was cut in a festive atmosphere with the leaders and activists.
