RAB-8's big announcement to return lost weapons: Cash reward of up to Tk 2 lakh will be given for information, identity will be kept secret

On August 5, 2024, during the overall political and law and order situation in the country, a large amount of weapons and ammunition were looted from various police stations, outposts and government offices in the country. Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-8, Barisal has taken a strict stance to recover these looted and lost government weapons and maintain the overall law and order situation. The organization has announced a special initiative involving the general public to prevent the misuse of illegal weapons and ensure public safety.
RAB-8 has informed that a cash reward of up to Tk 2 lakh will be given to those who provide accurate and reliable information regarding the location of the looted weapons and ammunition, as per the index. The overall security of the informant and the confidentiality of the information will be protected 100%.
This special weapons recovery operation and reward program will be in effect until November 15, 2026

Responsible officials of RAB-8 said that illegal weapons are an extreme threat to society and the state. This eighty-four-hour operation will continue to prevent any criminal activities and keep the town safe.
