
Protest rally in Madaripur against conspiracy, propaganda targeting Tarique Rahman

A protest rally and assembly were organized in Madaripur by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Shibchar Upazila BNP against the alleged conspiracy, propaganda, and misinformation campaign targeting BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
The event was led by Kamal Zaman Nooruddin Molla, a BNP nomination aspirant for the upcoming parliamentary election from Madaripur-1 (Shibchar).
The protest, held on Saturday at 5 pm at the College Mor Bus Terminal in Shibchar Upazila. Following the assembly, a protest march began at the bus terminal, passed through Road 71 and Shyamoli Mor, and concluded back at the College Mor terminal.
During the rally, Kamal Zaman Nooruddin Molla, former convenor of Shibchar Upazila BNP and a nomination hopeful, stated that a conspiratorial group is actively working against Ziaur Rahman and his family by spreading baseless and fabricated rumors. He emphasized that BNP is a trusted political party with public support and has governed the country successfully three times despite repeated conspiracies.
He warned that any further conspiracy against BNP, the party founded by the heroic freedom fighter and martyred President Ziaur Rahman, would be met with strong resistance on the streets.
The rally drew a massive crowd, with thousands of BNP grassroots activists participating enthusiastically.
Among others present at the event were: Shibchar Upazila BNP leaders Md. Shahjahan Saju Molla, Md. Shahadat Hossain Khan, Azmal Hossain Khan Selim, Shahidul Islam Shahid (Chairman), Md. Mahbubur Rahman Madbor, Md. Haji Motahar Hossain Bepari, Shibchar Mohila Dal Member Secretary Shipli Akter Nila, Upazila Jubo Dal leader Jasim Mridha, and Pouro Chhatra Dal’s Said Hasan Shihab, along with leaders from Shibchar municipality and all 18 union BNP committees.
