Protest rally in Faridpur demanding release of Shahidul Islam Khan Babul

A protest rally and gathering was held under the leadership of former president of Faridpur District Chhatra Dal and former Vice Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad, Jubo Dal leader Benzir Ahmed Tabriz, demanding the cancellation of the sentence and unconditional release of Shahidul Islam Khan Babul, General Secretary of the Central Committee of Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal.
The protest rally began at 8 PM on Thursday night from the premises of Faridpur Press Club and ended at Janata Bank intersection. Later, a brief gathering was held there.
At that time, former president of Faridpur District Chhatra Dal and a member of the convening committee of Faridpur District BNP Md. Selim Mia Selim, Joint Convener of Metropolitan BNP Md. Kawyum Mia, General Secretary of District JASAS Arifuzzaman Baku, Joint Secretary Shahidul Islam Liton, BNP leaders Shahin Haque, Joriul Haque Jhontu, Tamjid Molya, Bacchu Molya, General Secretary of Metropolitan Chhatra Dal Sabbir Hossain Saddam, along with other leaders were present.
Speakers at the gathering strongly protested and condemned the sending of Shahidul Islam Khan Babul, General Secretary of the Central Committee of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal, to prison in a false case filed under the tyrannical fascist regime of Sheikh Hasina. They warned that if Shahidul Islam Babul is not released soon, a mass movement will be built across greater Faridpur.
