
Products worth Tk 35.7 m. sold at C'nawabganj BSCIC Fair

Products worth 35.70 million taka have been sold at the BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair in Chapainawabganj.
Entrepreneurs sold food products as well as various goods at 50 stalls during the ten-day fair.
Chapainawabganj BSCIC Assistant General Manager Md. Abu Hossain confirmed this information on the last day of the BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair on Friday. According to relevant sources, Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation-BSCIC organized a ten-day fair for trained entrepreneurs as part of the youth festival on the afternoon of February 19.
In this way, entrepreneurs can introduce their products to the public as well as sell them. Besides, the real reason for this fair was for new entrepreneurs to establish themselves without running after jobs. Chapainawabganj BSCIC Assistant General Manager Md. Abu Hossain said, 'Products worth 35.70 million taka have been sold at the 10-day BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair. Of these, entrepreneurs have received advance orders worth 8.20 million taka online and offline. Entrepreneurs have expressed their satisfaction by selling their products. This year, we have received a good response from entrepreneurs, buyers and those interested in becoming entrepreneurs at the fair.’
He further said, ‘We have been organizing the fair in collaboration with the district administration at the old stadium of the city since February 19. This fair brings together indigenous products from jute, leather products, clothing, design and fashion wear, handicrafts, pottery, cosmetics, household products, light engineering products and other sectors. The fair ended on Friday night.’
The closing speech of the BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair was delivered by Nawabganj Govt Women’s College Principal Prof Dr. Biplob Kumar Majumder, BSCIC Head Office General Manager (Marketing ) Md. Jahangir Alam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Naqib Hasan Tarafdar, officials and employees of various departments. Barendra Krishi Udyog bagged the first place in the BSCIC Entrepreneur Fair and Fazli-7 bagged the 3rd place.
