Pro-Sakib demonstrators attacked at Mirpur

A group of fans of cricket icon Sakib Al Hasan came under attack on Sunday in the capital’s Mirpur area for demonstrating to press home their demand of allowing Sakib to play his last cricket in the country and removing cricket board president Faruque Ahmed.
At first, anti-Sakib agitators, who frame the all-rounder categorically as an ally of Awami League autocrats, attacked the cricketer’s fans with sticks and bamboos, and then law enforcers also charged at them.
