Prize distribution for quiz competition in memory of injured, martyred in July Uprising in Subarnachar

The July 36 Uprising is a poignant memory in the history of the student-public struggle in Bangladesh. In memory of those injured and martyred in that uprising, a large-scale quiz competition was organized for students at Subarnachar.
The award distribution ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Subarnachar Upazila Parishad ground organized by the "July Warriors". The ceremony was jointly hosted by Mehedi Hasan Simanto, Senior Joint Member Secretary of the Noakhali District Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, and Mahrufa Akhter, a student of merit, with Subarnachar Upazila NCP organizer Khandaker Didarul Alam in the chair, and Mohammad Abdul Karim, Assistant Professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics, Noakhali University of Science and Technology, as the chief guest.
Special guests included Maulana Abdur Rahman, Principal of Char Jubilee Rabbania Fazil Madrasa, Mamunur Rashid Tushar, former joint convener of Noakhali district of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, Maulana Jamal Uddin, Ameer of Subarnachar Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami, Md. Abduz Zaher, MP candidate for Noakhali-4 constituency of the People's Rights Council, Maulana Ahsan Ullah, Khatib of Charbata Khaser Hat Jame Mosque, Md. Helal Uddin, joint convener of People's Bangladesh Noakhali district, and many other dignitaries.
About 7,000 students from 30 educational institutions in Subarnachar participated in the quiz competition. Out of these, 110 students were awarded. The first three were given laptops, the next seven were given crests and cash, and the remaining 100 students were given crests.
At the end of the program, the guests presented prizes to the winners. The entire program was exceptional, festive and inspiring among the students. The organizers said that this competition will play an important role in increasing the knowledge of the students, developing their talents and practicing mindfulness.
