Alikadam Battalion (57 BGB) has set up an elementary school in the Trimati Karbar Para area of Remakri union in Bandarban.

The name of the school is "Wangrai Para BGB Primary School".Alikadam Battalion commander Lt. Col. Abdullah Al Mehdi inaugurated the academic activities of the school by raising the flag on May 2 (Friday). During this time, he distributed primary education books, education assistants, biscuits and chocolate among the 20 students.It is learnt  that the students were deprived of compulsory primary education opportunities because there was no primary school in the remote Trmati Para area of Thanchi. In this situation, with the financial support of the BGB, the local businessmen and the public came forward to set up primary schools in the Trimati Karbar Para.Due to the establishment of the school, the children of the 12 families of the five small ethnic groups have come under formal education, said the BGB responsible sources.Meanwhile, one-time financial grants were provided to the students of the local families and the students studying in various educational institutions were provided.Alikadam Battalion commander Lt. Col. Abdullah Al Mehdi said the BGB is always on the side of the only confidence in the hill area of the fortified border. BGB is doing humanitarian work in addition to protecting the border with confidence. This national activity will further strengthen the bonds of mutual relations, peace, harmony and development between the BGB and the hill Bengalis living in the hill area.Alikadam Battalion (57BGB) has set a unique example as a partner in the socio -economic development of the region.
