Press conference of UP members demanding removal of chairman in Jaldhaka

Three deprived and aggrieved UP members held a press conference demanding removal of the corrupt chairman of Shaulmari Union Parishad Nuruzzaman and his associates protesting attack on him on Sunday.
The press conference was held at 11 am on Sunday at the office of UP member Rashidul Islam adjacent to Taluk Shaulmari Dakaliganj Bazar. At that time, Ward 5 UP member Ezaharul Haque, Ward 6 UP member Kazi Femaz Uddin and local BNP leaders and activists were present. At the press conference, Shaulmari Union Parishad Ward 4 UP member and Union BNP General Secretary Rashidul Islam Member complained in a written statement that Chairman Nuruzzaman Zaman is running the Parishad activities by extending his sole dominance with his Awami League friends. He has deprived us three UP members of all the privileges and benefits of the Parishad because we do BNP politics. On May 26, the chairman held the preparatory meeting for the distribution of rice for VGD at his own house without informing us.
When I asked for the allocation slip during the distribution of rice, the chairman behaved dishonestly and humiliated me with his terrorist force. The next day, the chairman strategically formed a human chain against us and sought a stay on the case. Chairman Nuruzzaman Zaman is running the Parishad activities by extending his sole dominance with his Awami League friends. He has deprived us three UP members of all the privileges and benefits of the Parishad because we do BNP politics.
Chairman Nuruzzaman ADP, VGD and TR Kabikha have embezzled money by committing massive irregularities and corruption in the work of Kabita. The chairman has deprived our three UP members from the council activities just to do BNP. We demand that the local administration take necessary action subject to a fair and impartial investigation of this incident and demand the removal of such a corrupt chairman.
