Preparations afoot in Hathazari ahead of PM Tarique Rahman’s visit

Extensive preparations are underway across Hathazari as BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is set to visit the upazila on Sunday (August 9) marking his return after more than two decades.
Arriving via helicopter from Chattogram, the Prime Minister will first visit Hathazari Madrasa to offer prayers at the grave of Shah Ahmad Shafi. Following a brief break at the Hathazari Dak Bungalow around noon, he will attend the primary event at the Hathazari High School ground at 4:00 PM.
During the program, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various development projects, distribute relief, and hand over newly constructed houses to flood-affected families.
Coordinated by the Upazila Administrator and local BNP leadership, all preparations are complete. The visit has generated immense enthusiasm among residents and party activists, who plan to present key local infrastructure and development demands to the Prime Minister.
