The people in charge of the sub-centre said that water started entering the sub-centre from Tuesday morning. Gradually the water began to rise. Electricity is supplied to six unions of Juri Upazila through two transformers of 33/11 kilovolts of this sub-centre. In this upazila, the number of customers of Bubo is about 16 thousand.
A team led by Superintending Engineer SM Iqbal of Maulvibazar District Office of Beaubo visited the sub-centre on Tuesday afternoon. SM Iqbal Told the media that the sub-centre is under threat. However, the power supply is still on. If the water rises, two transformers may be submerged. Then the power supply will be stopped.
Local people said that the sub-centre was commissioned in 2022. This condition has arisen because the place is not elevated enough. The same happened in the 2022 flood.
