Former Information and Broadcasting Minister and Political Adviser to the Prime Minister M. Zahid Uddin Swapan, has said that politics is a form of worship for him and that he is committed to protecting the trust and confidence placed in him by the people.
He made the remarks while addressing a discussion meeting and cultural evening organized to mark the 48th founding anniversary of the BNP at the Gournadi Bus Stand Auditorium on Tuesday afternoon.
Speaking as the chief guest, Swapan said, “Politics is a form of worship to me. I have been entrusted with responsibilities by the government to protect the interests of the people. Please pray so that I can fulfill those responsibilities with utmost sincerity and integrity.”
The programme was held under the slogan, “We will work, we will build the country; Bangladesh first.”
The discussion meeting was chaired by Bir Muktijoddha Syed Sarwar Alam Biplob, convener of Gournadi Upazila BNP.
