
Police being trained for fair elections: Home Adviser

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that those who created the 'mob' around former Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda will be brought under the law. Action will also be taken against anyone from the police force involved in this incident.
He said these in response to questions from journalists after visiting the Mahera Police Training Center in Mirzapur Upazila of Tangail on Monday afternoon.
The Home Affairs Advisor said that there are many days left for the national elections.
The police force is preparing ahead of the elections. The law and order situation in the country is much better than before.
He said that the Mahera Training Center is a high-quality training center. Arrangements will be made to further improve this training center.
Inspector General of Bangladesh Police (IGP) Md. Baharul Alam, Dhaka Range DIG Rezaul Karim, Mohera Police Training Center DIG Mohammad Ashfaqul Alam, Additional DIG AHM Kamruzzaman and others were present.
